About Down 4 Paws

Transforming Chaos into Calm, One Dog at a Time

Hi there! I’m Pamela Brown, the face behind Down 4 Paws, and I’m thrilled you’re here.

Let me take you back to where it all began. Picture this: me, a stay-at-home mom who’d tackled the chaos of chores and kids, suddenly brought to tears by… a puppy.

Yep, you read that right. This tiny ball of fur had me feeling completely overwhelmed.

In that moment of puppy-induced crisis, I decided to call in the professionals. But as I searched for a dog trainer, I hit a wall.

There were so many methods, so much conflicting advice, and no one who seemed to offer the comprehensive help I needed.

That’s when it hit me – if I couldn’t find the perfect dog trainer, I’d become one!

Fast forward through a lot of studying, certifications (including from Catch Canine Academy and the Council for Certification for Professional Dog Trainers), and hands-on experience, and here I am.

Those tears?

They’ve been replaced by smiles and the joy of helping other dog owners who find themselves in the same boat I was in.

Now, I’m a Professional Certified Dog Trainer based in Norwood, Massachusetts. I specialize in helping busy families like yours bring calm to your home and get your Pup on track.

My approach?

It’s all about making dog training fit into your real life.

Here’s what I believe:

  • Training should be easy for both you and your dog.
  • Positive reinforcement (think treats, praise, and lots of love) is key.
  • Your time is precious, so we’ll make training part of your daily routine.
  • Cookie-cutter solutions? No way! Your dog is unique, and their training should be too.
  • I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.

When I’m not training, you might find me volunteering at adoption agencies, working with rescue dogs, or hanging out with my own two adopted pups.

Dogs aren’t just my job – they’re a huge part of my life and family.

Remember, dog training isn’t always a walk in the park, but it can be one of the most rewarding journeys you’ll take with your four-legged friend. And I’m here to make sure it is.

Ready to create a calmer, happier home with your dog? Let’s get started!
